Meet Team BBMT at Pax East in Boston 3/26 – 3/28…

Michelle Powers Godfrey

Michelle: Producer, Social Medi-atrix, Friend of Joystiq.com, well-known for “etc.”

Holy homecoming queen of the gaming world! Here’s the scoop: Michelle became friends with the nice folks at Joystiq when she discovered that they liked the blueberry goodness of BBMT enough to chat about it with their bazillion cyber friends. It was their brilliant idea for Blueberry Muffin Tops Cereal to host a breakfast at PAX East, and who are we to deny all these video gamers a delicious start to a very busy day of conventioneering? So Michelle went into Go Mode. You could say that if it wasn’t for Michelle, the BBMT team would sadly be watching cartoons at home the weekend of PAX East, and the participants at PAX East would be grabbing a bag of almonds out of the mini bar for breakfast instead of crunchy, lovely blueberry handfuls of BBMT.

Heather Johnson, Malt-O-Meal

Heather: Asisstant Producer, Malt-O-Meal insider

Heather is the newest member to Team BBMT, but please refrain from “New Kid” jokes: They won’t go far anyway, she knows her stuff, both Malt-O-Meal-wise and BBMT-wise. They gave her a desk on the inside, and that makes all the stuff we know look like every other movie after Avatar.

aliso the geekAlison: Level-something Something-master of the Something-order, Universal Expert

The second Alison found out that a few of her colleagues were headed to PAX East, she lost it. Why were these two old ladies (who haven’t even played video games since Ms. Pacman) going, while she, a seasoned, razor-sharp Level 80 Blood Elf Priest, stayed behind?? It didn’t seem reasonable or fair, so she launched a campaign. This entailed Alison asking “Can I go, too?” about a thousand times. Once the rest of the team realized that having a Level-something Something-master (or something) along would be helpful for question-answering and street-cred faking, they relented. Look for Alison whispering good questions into Hillary’s ear, and pointing out the important people in a room to Michelle. To be honest, if you want to get anywhere in the Blueberry Muffin Tops world at PAX East this year, she’s the one to suck up to.

Hillary Churchill

Hillary: Blogeon-master, Gaming Novice

When the big bosses at BBMT-HQ asked Hillary to go to PAX East for blog coverage, she got a bit panicky. Frankly, her current knowledge of video games doesn’t extend much further than the intricacies of Bubble Breaker on her cellular telephone. However, once she started thinking about it she realized her value as a foil. So, expect probing journalistic questions from Hillary like, “Hey, why do those guys keep doing that?” and “What happens when I push this button?” and “I’m sorry, what is your name again?” and sometimes just, “I know, right?”

I attended PAX East 2010 and had never tried BBMT cereal before. After meeting the girls handing out the SWAG for BBMT, I got the chance to try it and It was absolutely unbelievably delicious. You have created a loyal BBMT purchaser and all of my friends agree. We will continue to support you and pass the word around about just how great BBMT cereal really is. PAX was the perfect venue for you guys to market this and the ladies that were there did an amazing job all around. At one panel I watched them pass out what had to be a few hundred wristbands (which by the way are kick ass!) to the whole top balcony of the theatre and the reception that was given was nothing but positive. Again, I thank you so much for your community involvement and the way you came across at PAX East, Hopefully i’ll see you advertising in Seattle!
